Phedišang
cares for and nurtures approximately 400 orphans in Maruleng, a remote
municipality in Limpopo Province, South Africa. The cost of supporting
1 child and feeding him or her 2 meals a day is R100= per month (S.A.
Rand). The purchase of each calendar funds one child for a month, after
production costs. The calendar costs only $36 delivered to the USA.
The Phedišang household calendar and organiser covers 18 months -- from
July 2008 to December 2009. It is in A3 format and each month
has the dates down the left-hand side and 5 columns
next to that, so that household dates can be recorded according to
which member of the family is doing what. The organiser
contains South African school term dates and Jewish and Islamic
holidays.
The price of the calendar delivered is R 200 plus postage and
packaging. So in South Africa, this is R 225 delivered; internationally
it works out at R 275. The conversion of currencies will be
done by the South African bank on receipt, and the rate which shows on
your credit card statement may fluctuate slightly. The rates
